Ordering an outdoor rug from a Turkish store

Read the rug material and whether it resists water and sun, plus the tube length and width, and enter the receiving-centre address with your box number at checkout. If the store rejects your card, send the links through Buy for Me; the parcel waits free in the warehouse for 30 days.

How the rugs reach Syria

Tubes travel by land for about two weeks after the shipment leaves and are delivered in Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Hama. Each piece is wrapped in thick plastic against rain and dust, and you track the parcel from your account.

Length sets the cost more than weight

An outdoor rug is lighter than a wool one, but a long tube may not fit a medium carton (60×40×40 cm, up to 15 kg) with a reference price of 15 to 20 US dollars by region, customs excluded, so the tube is measured before the price is fixed.

Material and sun resistance

Polypropylene rugs do not absorb water, dry fast, resist fading in the sun and clean with a hose. Measure the balcony precisely, and pick lighter colours so the rug does not heat up in strong sun. Charges may apply in Syria by value and quantity, and commercial quantities need a separate quote.

Receiving and wrapping

Outdoor rugs are rolled into a long tube, so confirm the tube length in centimetres before ordering and photograph the wrapping on arrival. A large rug takes more length than weight, so land freight suits it better than air.

Transit, delivery and price by country

Syria: the tube arrives by land after about two weeks in Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Hama, delivered wrapped as it left the warehouse. Jordan: land freight suits long tubes and sea freight saves on large quantities, with delivery in Amman, Irbid, Zarqa and Aqaba. Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman: air from Istanbul takes short tubes only, since the length of the piece decides whether a carrier accepts it before weight does. Charges may apply in each country by value, and traders buying rugs wholesale get a separate quote.
