Ordering from the store

Pick the instrument after comparing photos of the back, the neck and the strings, and order it to our warehouse address with your box number. If the seller does not accept your card, send the link and we buy for you at an 8% commission on the oud price.

Checking at our warehouse

We inspect the back and the face for cracks or lifted glue, make sure the strings are tight and the pegs turn, then photograph the oud inside its case.

Weight and price

The oud is light but wide, so the price mostly follows the padded carton volume rather than the weight, and we quote after measuring the parcel.

Use and care

Leave it for a few hours before tuning on arrival so it adjusts, keep it away from air conditioners and sun, and loosen the strings if you will not play for weeks.

Wood, strings and protective case

The Turkish oud is made from walnut, rosewood or ebony with double courses of strings and several sizes. Ask about the wood type, the neck length and whether the instrument comes with a hard case, because an oud is very fragile and any pressure on the rounded back cracks it, and avoid listings with no case or loose strings.

Transit, delivery and price by country

Syria: the oud is wrapped inside its case in a padded carton and reaches Syria overland in about two weeks. Jordan: Jordan is by road, with delivery in Amman, Irbid, Zarqa and Aqaba. The Gulf: by air from Istanbul in 3 to 5 days, and the carton is wide so it is often charged by volume. Music shops receive a separate offer for several instruments.
