Ordering from the store

Decide the instrument and your level, then order it from a workshop or instrument store that delivers in Turkey to our address with your box number. If the store does not accept your card, send the link and we buy for you at an 8% commission on the value.

Checking at our warehouse

We inspect the body, neck and strings for cracks or warping, and photograph the instrument and note its condition before packing.

Weight and price

An instrument can be bulky, so it is charged on volumetric or actual weight, whichever is higher, and the reference for a medium carton is 15 to 20 US dollars, customs excluded.

Use and care

Loosen the strings for long transport, and keep the instrument in its case away from heat and damp, since wood is affected by both.

Type, workmanship and level

Turkey is known for the oud, saz, qanun, ney and darbuka, and prices range from beginner instruments to those of specialist workshops. Decide your level and purpose first, order from a known workshop or store, look at the wood, the finish and the stiffness of the neck, and ask whether it comes with a hard case because packing decides how safely it travels.

Transit, delivery and price by country

Syria: the instrument ships in its hard case and reaches Syria overland in about two weeks. Jordan: Jordan is by road, with the parcel delivered in Amman, Irbid, Zarqa and Aqaba. The Gulf: by air from Istanbul in 3 to 5 days with extra padding around the body and neck. Music schools and instrument shops receive a separate offer for quantities.
