Ordering from the store

Ask about the load and line length before ordering from a Turkish housewares shop that delivers inside the country, and add our address and your box number. If payment fails, we buy for you at an 8% commission on the price.

Checking at our warehouse

We open the rack and shake it slightly to confirm it is stable and check the folding joints and coating, and a photo of it open reaches you before the journey starts.

Weight and price

A floor rack takes more room than its weight suggests, so it may need a carton longer than the medium one (60×40×40 cm, up to 15 kg), estimated at a reference 15 to 20 US dollars, customs excluded.

Use and care

Dry it away from constant damp and wipe the frame after use, and do not load it past its stated limit. Anyone furnishing hotels should review the import terms in their own country.

Load, folding and space

Laundry drying racks in Turkey are sold as floor models that fold, winged airers or hangers for the balcony and bathroom, with a steel or aluminium frame. Ask about the load in kilograms and the total line length, see whether it folds easily and stands without wobbling, and make sure the frame resists rust in damp places.

Transit, delivery and price by country

Syria: the rack is folded and strapped, then goes overland to Syria in about two weeks. Jordan: Jordan is by road or sea, with delivery in Amman, Irbid, Zarqa and Aqaba. The Gulf: by air from Istanbul in 3 to 5 days, and a tall rack may need a carton larger than the medium one. Anyone furnishing apartments or hotels in quantity gets a separate offer.
