Ordering from the store

Compare the capacity in litres across several Turkish housewares shops that deliver in the country, and add our address and your box number. If your card is refused, send the link and we buy for you at an 8% commission on the price.

Checking at our warehouse

We check bamboo for cracks and fabric for tears and try closing the lid, and a photo of the open basket reaches you before the shipment leaves.

Weight and price

A rigid basket is bulky and light, and one can be nested inside another to save space, with the medium carton (60×40×40 cm, up to 15 kg) estimated at a reference 15 to 20 US dollars, customs excluded.

Use and care

Keep it somewhere dry and air it after use, and do not leave wet clothes in it for long. Housewares traders should review the import terms in their own country.

Capacity, material and lid

Laundry baskets in Turkey are offered in foldable fabric, bamboo and perforated plastic, some with a lid and some divided to sort colours. Compare the capacity in litres and how many loads it holds, inspect the carrying handles, and prefer a material that lets air through to avoid odours.

Transit, delivery and price by country

Syria: a fabric basket is pressed flat inside a sealed bag and takes the land route to Syria in about two weeks. Jordan: Jordan is by road or sea, with the parcel reaching Amman, Irbid, Zarqa and Aqaba. The Gulf: by air from Istanbul within 3 to 5 days, but a rigid basket is charged by its volume, not its weight. Housewares traders ordering many pieces receive a separate price.
