Yes, enter the receiving-centre address with your box number at checkout, and we combine the orders and ship them to your address.

Is shipping a kilim cheaper than a rug?

Usually yes, since a kilim is thinner, lighter and folds small, but price its weight and size in the calculator first.

Ordering from the store

Order the kilim from a store that delivers within Turkey with our address and your box number. When the store will not accept your card, you send us the link and we buy for you for an 8% commission on the price.

Checking at our warehouse

The kilim is unrolled and measured in length and width and examined on both sides for stains or open edges, and photos reach you before it is rolled and its cover sealed.

Weight and price

A kilim is charged by weight and volume, and a large piece does not fit the medium carton (60×40×40 cm, up to 15 kg) since it is rolled into a long cylinder. Smaller pieces are estimated at a reference 15 to 20 US dollars, customs excluded.

Use and care

Shake it gently to remove dust and dry it away from direct sunlight, and for stains use a damp cloth. Rug traders should review the import terms in their own country.

Weave, fibre and size

A Turkish kilim is woven flat without pile, from wool, cotton or a blend, and is sold both hand-woven and machine-made in Anatolian patterns. Ask about the weave and fibre, measure the room before choosing the size, check colour fastness after washing, and ask for a photo of the back to see how even the threads are.

Transit, delivery and price by country

Syria: a kilim is rolled tightly in a moisture-proof cover and travels overland to Syria in about two weeks. Jordan: Jordan is by road or sea, with delivery in Amman, Irbid, Zarqa and Aqaba. The Gulf: by air from Istanbul within 3 to 5 days, but large pieces are charged on volume and weight together. Carpet and rug traders ordering large numbers receive a separate price.
