How the press reaches Syria

Road freight reaches Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Hama in roughly fourteen days. Squeeze one clove on arrival to feel whether the lever holds before you file the receipt.

Price of a small parcel

Something this small is tucked into a larger box. A full 60×40×40 cm carton of up to 15 kg is quoted around 15 to 20 dollars depending on region, before any customs.

Washing and care

Rinse straight after pressing so the pulp cannot harden in the holes, then dry it. Aluminium dulls in a dishwasher, which is why stainless lasts longer.

Material and ease of cleaning before ordering

Garlic presses come as a lever press in stainless steel or aluminium, a rotary mincer, or a hand chopper. Look at the handle thickness, since a thin one bends on large cloves, and at a basket that opens for cleaning or a bundled cleaning tool. It is a small metal item that slips easily into a kitchenware parcel.

Transit, delivery and price by country

Syria: by road in around fourteen days to Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Hama, where the press is slipped into a box of kitchen tools. Jordan: land or sea depending on quantity, delivered in Amman, Irbid, Zarqa and Aqaba. The Gulf: by air from Istanbul in 3 to 5 days, and the piece is small so it combines with other kitchen tools. Kitchenware shops ordering quantities get a separate quote.
