The tables’ road to Syria

Flat-packed tables travel overland to Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Hama and arrive after about two weeks. Count the bolts against the manual’s list before assembling.

The cost of a long carton

A table is both heavy and long, so it is priced on the larger of weight and volume. The reference for a 60×40×40 cm carton up to 15 kg is 15 to 20 dollars by region, customs excluded.

Protecting the rods

The rods are taped down and wrapped in bubble wrap, and the corners of the surface are guarded with card. Entertainment centres get a separate quote.

Size and rods before ordering

Foosball tables come in home sizes and larger ones for cafes and game rooms, and they differ in rod thickness, player material and adjustable legs. Hollow rods are lighter and solid ones sturdier, and the stated dimensions in centimetres set the carton because the table arrives flat-packed and heavy, so confirm that assembly instructions and spare bolts are included.

Transit, delivery and price by country

Syria: overland in about two weeks, with the flat-packed parcel reaching Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Hama, and the long carton needing special loading. Jordan: land or sea, delivered in Amman, Irbid, Zarqa and Aqaba, with sea better for big tables. The Gulf: by air from Istanbul in 3 to 5 days for home tables, while large ones suit the land or sea route. Game cafes and entertainment centres get a separate quote.
