Ordering board games from a Turkish store

Read the number of players, the age range, the length of a round and the language of the rules. Enter the receiving-centre address with your box number at checkout, and if the store rejects your card send the links with Buy for Me, and the parcel stays free at the warehouse for 30 days.

How board games reach Syria

They travel by land for about two weeks after the shipment leaves and are delivered in Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Hama. Open the box and count the pieces and cards against the list, check the corners for pressure damage, and photograph any shortage or damage before you sign.

Boxes that suffer from pressure

A cardboard game box warps under pressure and damp, so ask for extra wrapping and do not put heavy things on top. A medium carton (60×40×40 cm, up to 15 kg) with a reference price of 15 to 20 US dollars by region, customs excluded, holds several games, and for shops each game goes in a protective bag.

Language and ages

Many board games in Turkey are printed in Turkish, so pick language-independent games or English editions, especially for word games. Check the age range and player count printed on the box. Charges may apply in Syria by value and quantity, and commercial quantities need a separate quote.

Player count, age range and rules language before ordering

A board game is chosen by who will play it: read in the description the number of players, the age range, the length of a round, the language of the rules and cards (often Turkish, so check for the version you need), whether all pieces and cards are included, and whether the box closes properly again after play.

Transit, delivery and price by country

Syria: games arrive by land after about two weeks in Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Hama, and cardboard boxes suffer from pressure and damp, so ask for extra wrapping and check that all pieces are present on receipt. Jordan: land suits Amman and Irbid, and for toy shops ordering in quantity it is best to stack the boxes flat and put each game in a protective bag. Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman: air from Istanbul suits these relatively light games, and check the rules language and the box condition before paying. Charges may apply in each country by value and quantity, and shops get a separate quote.
