How duvets reach Syria

The parcel travels by road and arrives after about two weeks, then is delivered in Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Hama. At handover, check the cover for damp and confirm the size, and photograph any tear before signing.

Volume and a reference price

A duvet is light but bulky, so the price follows volume unless it is compressed. A medium carton (60×40×40 cm, up to 15 kg) carries a reference price of 15 to 20 dollars by region, customs excluded.

Packing

Put the duvet in a vacuum bag and then in a carton, and avoid heavy compression of feather. Bulk orders are quoted separately.

Filling and size before buying

A duvet or pillow is light but takes a lot of space unless vacuum-compressed. Ask about the filling, since feather tolerates compression less than synthetic fibre. Compare the duvet size with your bed before ordering, because Turkish sizes differ from one store to another.

Transit, delivery and price by country

Syria: by land with delivery after about two weeks in Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Hama, where a compressed duvet saves a lot of carton volume. Jordan: by land or sea depending on the shipment, delivered in Amman, Irbid, Zarqa and Aqaba, and sea suits full bedding sets. Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman: air from Istanbul in 3 to 5 days, which suits pillows and light compressed duvets. Bulk orders get a separate quote in each country.
