Why does luggage cost more to ship than its weight?

Its volume is large, so dimensional weight is charged when it exceeds actual weight.

Can other purchases go inside a suitcase?

Sometimes, if packing allows and the items are suitable; ask for it during consolidation.

Are bags with built-in chargers accepted?

The battery type and carrier acceptance must be reviewed before buying.

Turkish Bags for Jordan: Size, Material, Box

To buy a bag from a Turkish store for Jordan, send the link, color and the dimensions in centimeters shown on the product page, and go by the material the store lists rather than the photo. Luggage, large bags and their boxes take a lot of space, so shipping is charged on the greater of actual and dimensional weight; decide whether the box stays, and ask for the bag to be checked in Türkiye before it ships.

Details to send with the bag link

Send the link to the bag itself and the color, plus an acceptable alternative if it sells out. Compare the listed dimensions in centimeters with a bag you own, since photos often suggest a different size, and for luggage check empty weight, wheels and lock type as the store states them.

Reading the material

Go by what the store writes: genuine or synthetic leather, fabric or hard-shell plastic for luggage. If the description is unclear, ask for a photo of the product label once the bag reaches Türkiye, because returns to the store are usually made before international shipping, not after.

Keep or remove the box?

Boxes and stuffing keep the bag’s shape but increase parcel volume. Luggage can sometimes nest or carry other light purchases if packing allows. Decide per bag, ask for the stuffing to stay inside with a reasonably sized carton, and compare the estimate after packing.

Checks before shipping to Jordan

Ask for color, zips, handles, wheels and stitching to be checked when the bag reaches Türkiye. Bags with a battery or built-in charger need a carrier acceptance review before buying. Write the address with the city, area, street, building number and a nearby landmark and an active phone number, and combine bags with your other purchases. Jordan is served overland through Syria or by sea to Aqaba depending on the shipment; Amman, Irbid and Zarqa get home delivery, and Aqaba is the entry point for larger shipments. Cost and expected schedule are fixed before departure once the order details are known. Large suitcases raise parcel volume, so combine them with your other purchases in one shipment.
