An electric water heater is chosen by capacity in litres (30, 50 or 80) and by power in watts. For a small family 50 litres is usually enough. Check the voltage, frequency and plug type written on the heater’s plate and match them to your country’s electricity, or ask the installer before ordering.

Installation and valves

A heater needs professional installation with a safety valve, an earth wire and water connections, and ideally an enamel-coated tank with a magnesium rod that lengthens its life. Do not install it without a technician, and do not buy a heater without a written safety certificate.

Tank weight and packing

Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman — electric water heaters: the route is by air from Istanbul in about 3 to 5 days, up to a week. Delivery in Kuwait: Kuwait City, Hawalli, Farwaniya and Jahra; in Saudi Arabia: Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Makkah; in the UAE: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman; in Qatar: Doha, Al Wakrah, Al Rayyan and Al Khor; in Bahrain: Manama, Muharraq, Riffa and Isa Town; in Oman: Muscat, Sohar, Salalah and Nizwa.
