Will a Turkish warranty cover my VR headset in Syria?

Usually not; it is serviced in Turkey, so ask the seller what it covers before buying and keep the invoice.

How much room does a VR headset take in a parcel?

A boxed headset is a small part of a medium carton, so it is cheapest to combine it with the rest of your Turkish order.

Can a VR headset with a built-in battery travel by land?

Tell us it has a lithium battery when you send the link, and we confirm the packing and route before the shipment is booked.

VR Headsets Turkey to Syria: Box Size, Warranty, Cost

A boxed VR headset takes only part of a medium carton (60×40×40 cm, up to 15 kg), which MarkaShip lists from $15 for the north to $20 for Damascus, customs excluded, so the shipping bill is rarely the big number. The risks are different: a Turkish distributor warranty is usually honoured only in Turkey, and a standalone headset has a built-in lithium battery. Buy it yourself to your Turkish address with your box number, or send the link through Buy for Me for an 8% commission on the product value.

Reading the Turkish product page

Sanal gerçeklik gözlüğü is a VR headset, Kulaklık the headset audio, Kontrolcü the controllers, Garanti the warranty and Fatura the invoice. Check whether the box is Kutulu (sealed and new) and whether the seller or the importer gives the warranty, and keep the invoice because any claim starts from it.

Warranty and service after it leaves Turkey

A warranty from a Turkish importer or shop is serviced in Turkey, so a faulty headset in Syria usually means sending it back or paying for repair yourself. Weigh that against the price difference before buying an expensive model, and consider a phone viewer if the budget is small.

Batteries and packing

A standalone headset carries a built-in lithium battery, and the controllers take either AAA or AA cells or a rechargeable pack. Tell us which, take loose cells out of the controllers, and keep the headset in its original box with the foam so the lenses are never pressed against the face pad.

Box size, cost and timing for Syria

Land rates are $15 for a medium carton to the north (Idlib, Aleppo), $17 to Homs and Hama and $20 to Damascus; a large carton (80×50×50 cm, up to 30 kg) is $20, $23 and $25. A headset plus a few accessories usually shares the carton with the rest of your order. The shop delivers inside Turkey first, the parcel waits free for up to 30 days to be combined, then travels by land in about two weeks.
