Buying the books from the store

Pick the books from a Turkish online bookshop that delivers within Turkey and put our address with your box number. When the site rejects your card, send the links and we purchase for you at an 8% commission on the book prices.

Checking pages and covers

We flip through the books at the warehouse looking for torn pages, upside-down printing or bent covers, check that the battery in sound books does not protrude, then send you photos. The parcel then runs overland to the Syrian cities and arrives after about two weeks.

Weight and price

Glossy paper is heavy, so a medium carton (60×40×40 cm, up to 15 kg) fills up by weight before volume, at a reference price between 15 and 20 US dollars by region, with customs excluded.

Content and batteries

Sound books with button batteries need a check before ordering because some carriers set limits on them. Those ordering many titles for libraries should review the import terms in their own country.

Language, age and cover type

Children’s books in Turkey range from picture stories and colouring books to cloth and board books for babies, mostly in Turkish or English. Decide the language and age group before buying, watch the strength of paper and cover, and remember that some books include raised parts or sounds that need batteries.

Transit, delivery and price by country

Syria: the books reach four Syrian cities overland within roughly two weeks, wrapped in plastic against damp. Jordan: Jordan is by road or sea, with delivery in Amman, Irbid, Zarqa and Aqaba. The Gulf: by air from Istanbul within 3 to 5 days, and books are fairly heavy, so the freight is charged by weight. Bookshops and nurseries ordering many titles get an independent quotation.
