Ordering the tea from a herbal shop

Checking packs and expiry

At the warehouse we check that the packs are sealed, the seals are intact and the expiry date is visible, then photograph them, and they travel overland to Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Hama and arrive in about two weeks.

Working out the carton and price

Tea packs are light, so a medium carton (60×40×40 cm, up to 15 kg) holds dozens of boxes, with a reference price of 15 to 20 US dollars by region, customs excluded.

Herb import rules

Some countries treat medicinal herbs like supplements, so read your country’s rules before ordering and keep the packs sealed. For commercial quantities, ask the competent food authority.

Choosing the type and reading the pack

Turkish herbal tea ranges from linden, sage and rosemary to apple and pomegranate instant mixes, sold in bags, loose or as a soluble powder. Read the ingredients and expiry date on the pack, and avoid blends that claim a cure because import rules may treat them as supplements.

Transit, delivery and price by country

Syria: the packs travel overland to Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Hama in about two weeks, kept apart from strongly scented goods. Jordan: Jordan is by road or sea, with delivery in Amman, Irbid, Zarqa and Aqaba, after checking food import rules. The Gulf: by air from Istanbul in 3 to 5 days, and the packs are light enough for air. Herbal shops ordering whole cartons receive a separate quote.
