Moving bags to Syria

Bags head overland to Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Hama and usually arrive after about two weeks. We open the zips and inspect the straps before the final wrapping.

Why volume matters

A bag is light but takes up room, so we nest small ones inside large ones. A medium carton (60×40×40 cm, up to 15 kg) has a reference price of 15 to 20 US dollars by region, excluding customs.

What to check before buying

Watch the strap stitching, the zip’s sturdiness and the fabric’s resistance to water. When ordering several colours ask for a photo of each piece, and remember to verify your country’s regulations before commercial quantities.

Size and separate compartments

Bags range from cylindrical duffels to sports backpacks and small club totes. Pick water-resistant fabric and a sturdy zip, with a separate shoe compartment and a pocket for damp clothes. They are fairly light but bulky, so they are often charged by volume rather than weight.

Transit, delivery and price by country

Syria: by road to the four big cities in around two weeks, and empty bags are nested inside each other to cut volume. Jordan: depending on quantity either road or sea, with drop-off in Amman, Irbid, Zarqa and Aqaba. The Gulf: by air from Istanbul in 3 to 5 days, with volume rather than weight deciding the price.
