How hoses reach Syria

A coiled hose travels the land route and reaches Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Hama roughly fourteen days after dispatch. Run water through it once delivered to see that no joint drips.

Price of a coiled hose

Layered hose is dense, which normally makes weight the billing basis. Reference rate for a 60×40×40 cm carton of up to 15 kg: 15 to 20 dollars depending on region, with customs not included.

Keeping the hose safe in transit

It is wound on a reel without sharp bends to stop the inner wall twisting. Landscaping firms ordering long runs get a separate quote.

Length and diameter before ordering

Garden hoses range from the plain flexible type to expandable coiled and multi-layer reinforced ones, and they differ in length, diameter and fitting type. Measure the distance from the tap to the farthest watering point, and ask whether brass or plastic fittings are included and suit your tap. A reinforced hose is heavier but resists kinking and bursting under pressure.

Transit, delivery and price by country

Syria: overland in about two weeks to Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Hama, with the hose coiled on a small reel to cut its volume. Jordan: land or sea depending on length, delivered in Amman, Irbid, Zarqa and Aqaba. The Gulf: by air from Istanbul in 3 to 5 days, and a long reinforced hose is heavy so it is usually charged by weight. Landscaping firms and farms ordering long runs get a separate quote.
