How glasses reach Syria

The parcels go by road and arrive in Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Hama after roughly two weeks. Open the box in front of the courier and try the glasses straight away, since a scratch on a lens shows at receipt.

Why the cost stays low

A pair of glasses is very light, so the carton is charged by its size. The reference for a 60×40×40 cm carton up to 15 kg is 15 to 20 dollars by region, customs excluded.

Hard cases

Each pair ships inside its hard case with a cleaning cloth, and pieces are separated by a divider so no frame is pressed. Shops get a separate quote.

Frame and lens before ordering

When buying eyewear, choose the frame by lens width, bridge size and the arm length printed inside the temple rather than by looks alone. A prescription pair needs a recent prescription and the distance between the pupils, and the safer route is to try the frame before fitting custom lenses.

Transit, delivery and price by country

Syria: overland in around two weeks, with the parcel delivered in Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Hama along with the hard cases. Jordan: land or sea depending on the number of pieces, delivered in Amman, Irbid, Zarqa and Aqaba. Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman: by air from Istanbul in 3 to 5 days, and glasses are light so they add little cost. Shops ordering in bulk get a dedicated quote per country.
