How a dish rack reaches Syria

The parcel leaves by road and reaches Syria after about two weeks, then goes to the big cities. On arrival open the carton, count the pieces, tray and screws, inspect the welds and coating, and photograph any defect before you sign.

Volume and a reference price

A metal rack is light, but it holds a lot of air when shipped assembled, so volume sets the price. A medium carton (60×40×40 cm, up to 15 kg) has a reference price of 15 to 20 dollars by region, without customs.

Packing and disassembly

Ask for it flat-packed with the screws in a single bag and the tray and holders separated to cut the volume. Commercial quantities get their own quote.

Size and material before ordering

Measure the counter or the space above the sink in centimetres, then choose rust-resistant stainless steel over coated metal that rusts under constant contact with water. Check for a drainage tray or a spout that directs water into the sink, for how many plates and cups it holds, and for the cutlery holder in the box. Foldable racks save space but are less stable under a heavy load.

Transit, delivery and price by country

Syria: shipping is by land with delivery after about two weeks in Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Hama, and a metal rack is light but takes up volume if shipped assembled. Jordan: by land or sea depending on the shipment, with delivery in Amman, Irbid, Zarqa and Aqaba, and flat-packed racks fit in one carton with other kitchen items. Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman: air from Istanbul in 3 to 5 days, which is practical for a small flat-packed rack because it weighs little. Bulk orders get their own quote in each country.
