How the gear reaches Syria

It travels by land for about two weeks after the shipment leaves and is delivered in Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Hama. Balls are sometimes sent deflated to cut volume and need a pump on arrival, and a portable hoop comes unassembled in a long box with an empty base, and you track the parcel from your account.

Volume and weight together

A portable hoop takes a long, fairly heavy box, while a ball is light. A medium carton (60×40×40 cm, up to 15 kg) with a reference price of 15 to 20 US dollars by region, customs excluded, holds several balls, but a full hoop needs its own box, so the parcel is charged on the greater of weight and volume.

Ball and hoop size

Size 7 balls are for men, size 6 for women and youth, size 5 for children. Portable hoop bases are filled with water or sand after arrival so they ship empty, and check height is adjustable for kids. Charges may apply in Syria by value and quantity, and commercial quantities need a separate quote.

Ball size and the hoop base

A size 7 ball is for men, size 6 for women and juniors, and size 5 for children. A portable hoop has a base that is filled with water or sand after arrival, so it ships empty; check the height-adjustment range if it is for children, and read the backboard size and thickness in the description.

Transit, delivery and price by country

Syria: the gear arrives by land after about two weeks in Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Hama, and balls are sometimes shipped deflated to save volume. Jordan: portable hoops with their base are large and heavy, so land or sea freight is cheaper for them, and balls go in the same order. Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman: air from Istanbul suits balls and light wall-mounted hoops, while a full portable hoop should have its volume worked out first. Charges may apply in each country by value and quantity, and clubs and schools ordering quantities get a separate quote.
