Turkish Makeup for Syria: Shade Code, Expiry

To buy makeup from a Turkish store for Syria, choose foundation and lipstick by the shade number and name on the product page, not by photo color, which differs between screens. Ask for an expiry photo once the product reaches Türkiye, packing that protects pressed powders and glass bottles from breaking, and ask about liquids and sprays before paying.

Choose the right shade

Photo colors vary between screens, so use the shade number and name from the product page, and if you already use the product, copy the number from your current pack. Name a close alternative shade or cancellation if yours sells out.

What to read on the pack

Besides the expiry date, many makeup products carry an open-jar symbol with a number showing how many months the product lasts after opening. Ask for an expiry photo once the product reaches Türkiye, and do not buy more than you will use before it expires.

Protect makeup in shipping

Pressed powders and eyeshadows can crack with vibration, and glass foundation bottles can break. Ask for products to stay in their original boxes with enough padding, and ask about liquid removers and setting sprays before paying, since they need an acceptance review.

Combine and receive the order

Combine makeup with your other purchases in one order, keep the store invoice, and write the address with the governorate, city, neighborhood and a nearby landmark and an active phone number. Shipping to Syria runs overland through the Turkish border crossings, and MarkaShip publishes a separate cosmetics table on its Syria shipping page that includes customs: $3 per kg for 30–100 kg, $2.5 for 100–300 kg and $2 for 300–500 kg. Smaller personal orders are priced on review, and all figures are reference prices confirmed per shipment.
