Turkish Evening Dresses for Syria: Fit, Packing
To buy an evening or occasion dress from a Turkish store for Syria, compare bust, waist, hip and length with that dress’s own chart, and allow for alterations by a local tailor. Ask for daylight photos because photo color can differ, packing that protects embroidery and beading, and check the dress in Türkiye before shipping, because returns after shipping are hard and costly.

Choosing the size
Compare bust, waist, hip and full length with that dress’s own chart, and pick the size closest to your largest measurement, since taking in is easier than letting out. Consider length with the heels you will wear.
Color and fabric
Photo colors depend on lighting and screens, especially shiny shades and satin. Ask for a daylight photo once the dress reaches Türkiye, and go by the store’s description of fabric and lining.
Packing an embellished dress
Embroidery, beads and sequins can snag or fall off with friction. Ask for a protective bag and folding with tissue padding that keeps pressure off the decoration, photos before closing, and do not squeeze the dress into a small carton to save volume.
Plan around the occasion
Start early to leave time for alterations after delivery, and write the address with the governorate, city, neighborhood and a nearby landmark and an active phone number. Shipping to Syria runs overland through the Turkish border crossings, and MarkaShip publishes reference prices by governorate, excluding customs: a medium carton (60×40×40 cm, up to 15 kg) is $15 for the north (Idlib, Aleppo), $17 for the center (Homs, Hama) and $20 for the south (Damascus); a large carton (80×50×50 cm, up to 30 kg) is $20, $23 and $25, confirmed per shipment.
