What you find at Atasun Optik

Atasun Optik is a Turkish eyewear chain selling sunglasses and prescription frames from many brands, plus contact lenses. State the brand, model number and color as shown on the page.

Choosing a frame size

Frame size is given as three numbers: lens width, bridge and temple length in millimeters, usually printed inside your current frame’s temple. Compare them with the model size on the page to choose what fits your face. On the Turkish page Güneş gözlüğü means sunglasses, Optik çerçeve a spectacle frame and Numara the size, and the three frame numbers often look like 52-18-140. Copy the model code printed on the page, not only the brand name.

Prescription lenses

Fitting prescription lenses needs an exact prescription and measurements such as pupillary distance, usually taken in store. It is easier to buy the frame in Türkiye and fit lenses locally, or buy ready sunglasses. Contact lenses may face special requirements, so ask before ordering. Reçete means prescription and Cam means lens. Lens fitting is work done by an optician, so for delivery abroad order the frame alone and have your local optician cut and fit the lenses.

Packing and shipping

Keep the original case and invoice, and ask for packing that protects against pressure. For high-value eyewear, declare the true value and ask about insurance. Put each pair in its hard case with the arms folded, and keep one pair per padded box so stacked parcels cannot press on the frame. Small, light boxes also keep the shipping charge low.
